Farmers Markets have been busy adapting and pivoting in response to public health requirements per Covid 19.  We would like to thank you for continuing to support us through all the changes necessary for Farmers Markets to operate safely.  This summer Farmers Markets were declared ESSENTIAL by the province and remain one of the safest ways to buy LOCAL FOOD with diligent safety measures in place and a far greater level of traceability than corporate food sources.  This past Saturday Farmers Markets moved outside again in response to provincial lockdown measures.  We anticipate being outside as long as the weather allows - since we farmers workout side anyway its not a big deal for us.

October 19, 2020

Over the past several months a group of committed Farmers Market vendors established the vendor led TORONTO FARMERS MARKET COLLECTIVE (TFMC).  This model was tested in the spring when the farmers markets temporarily closed and was very successful.  We have learned a lot and are thankful for our customers who have supported all of us in your commitment to buy local food.

So...  STARTING NOVEMBER 7 St Michael’s All Angels Church at 611 St. Clair Ave West (Southeast corner of Wychwood and St. Clair) in Toronto has generously opened its doors to The Stop/Wychwood Farmers Market Vendors to distribute their prepaid pre-ordered products to customers.  We will try to keep things as consistent as possible and more details will be available soon so please stay tuned and share this information with your fellow local food supporters.
